Is any body interested to go to the Snowy Mountains for a weekend in November? Stay at the Jindabyne Hotel/Motel probably the 15/16 November?
The proposed trip would be Wollongong Cooma, Jindabyne, Threadbo Village, Khancoban, Cabramurra, Kiandra, Tumut, Yass, Goulburn, Wollongong.

Yes I know of the Snowy Mounting ride on the 8-9th. I went the last couple of years. You pay your $50-$60 which go to a good charity with a chance to win a Honda or the like, and there is 1000+ bikes on the road. Including hooners. What I am suggesting is the week end after because there will be less bike on the road, if you pass through the National park there is usually No charge and you can get accommodation easier.

we passed through there last year on the way to turismo, while it was on .looked like chaos, with the numbers of riders they had of various machines and ability.line ups for fuel, food etc.ambos and other flashing lights.and i loved the follow the leader with the orange vest, very fashionable.lucky for us we were mainly heading in the opposite direction for the most part.

I went through two years ago and their where rides doing the day trips in the opposite direction as the main group. That in its self is not a problem, its when they all think they are on a race track cutting corners etc. that year i hear of 3 head ons . cheers Nev

Just an update to the snowy week end we would leave on Saturday approx. 6:00am travel throu Goulburn, Queanbean, Cooma, Jindabyne Khancoban almost half way at about 5:00pm stay for the night at Khancoban Lake Side Caravan Resort, they have motel units & cabins ranging from $64-120. Leave at 7:30 proceed to Kiandra on Tooma road also called KNP5 which runs through the National park. Then to Tumut on the Hume h'way to Yass, Goulburn and back to Wollongong approx 6-6:30pm The trip will be approx 500Km on Sat and 550Km on Sunday Unfortunately most of the road would have to be H'way traveling however the road between Jindabine and Kiandra should be spectacular. I never being on the KNP5 but I was assure from the National park officer which ride a BMW that this road is a great ride. entry to National park is free as we just passing through.

Urio, Count me in for the Snowy weekend. I will chase up the Ulladulla guys and hopefully get a group together. Did you get any new members from down here after the Ivan ride? We will arrange to meet you in Cooma as we will go down the coast (see link to our route) and return via Queanbeyan. Unfortunatly there are some things I have on during November which means I won't be able to do the Snowy weekend (unless it is on in December). If you still go in November I can organise the others from Ulladulla.

Scott I will keep you informed, the meeting last night was attended by the regular small group and although is was supported by them it is a big commitment to make so far ahead. I will post on the "what on" to see how many would be interest before I would ask them to pay a deposit.
the final verdict would not be know untill the deposit is paid. Urio
