Dear Fellow Ducatisti and others
The Canberra District Ducati Club has decided to jump in and organise the next Ducati Rally. Our El Presidente, Le DOC, contacted a few other prezs who offered their support so here we go. Claim the date, apply for leave, start accruing brownie points by cutting the lawns, painting the house, washing the cat - whatever it takes to do yourself and your bike a huge favour by showing it some of the best riding in Australia through the Snowy Mountains. The CDDC's answer to The Stigg is a local in the mountains and is organising some interesting rides on the Saturday. Arrive Friday 2nd March 2012 and leave Sunday 4th - or parts thereof. If you want to stay longer or get there earlier, The Station Resort is prepared for that as well - but possibly only for accommodation outside of the Rally dates depending on numbers - the place is usually shut that time of year but they are opening up exclusively for us. Anyone who has been there for the various Turismos will know the place. More details will come out later.
I have tried to include all the Ducati clubs I could find but please feel free to forward this to other interested people and Italian bike clubs and enthusiasts - being the Nations Capital - we are keen to embrace an eclectic attitude to Italian motorcycles and not be Ducati-ist - because our constitution promotes an interest in Italian motorcycles in general. If you have any questions, you could reply to me but I am about to go on holidays for a month so you would be better off contacting the link below. Once we get some belt problems in the website sorted out and covert it to a bevel, we will have a link there for the NDCR. We opted for the "clubs" inclusion since it is very much a club event and our aim will be to keep it simple. We have notified our friend Warren Lee at Frasers who will assist us where they can. If anyone has a connection with some famous person who would like to be a guest speaker, please let us know.
So spread the word and stay tuned.
Captain Chris
