Wes has made a good point in one of his notes which is more riding rather than meetings.
Would anyone like to suggest a club ride and a catchty name to describe it.
So far we have th Ivan the Terrible Ride (around March each year) and the Running of the Bevels (around May each year)....those that have participated know the routes for both of those rides which we will repost shortly for those that havent.
I'd like to suggest a ride we could do in October...which I will creatively name the Duketober Ride (which for the SCDOC is our basic backyard ride). Starting at Albion Park Maccas...up Maquarie Pass to Kangaroo Valley and onto to Berry. Then back to the Gong Via Jamberoo road with a cool ale at the Jamberoo pub to wrap up.
That gives us three sanctioned rides with another 9 months to fill...If you have a suggestion please pass uit onto Scott or John who look after the Southern and North ride schedules.
...some suggestions for other rides that need a route assigned to them...The eDUCATIon Ride.... The Duke, the Mad and the Fugly Ride.... etc etc...

If it's an early morning ride and the bottom of Kangaroo Valley is full of fog like it usually is. You could call it "Ducati's in the Mist" but that would be a stupid name if the ride is in the middle of the day once the fog has lifted.

Used to do a ride I called the "ROYAL PICTON PUB RUN" with a few mates from around sutho way. South through the royal from loftus down to stanwell tops, up to the hwy at h'burgh and then south via the old hwy to appin road (bulli tops), across to appin, then south west via broughton pass and wilton to picton for lunch. From Picton you can run via the old hume to the back end of bowral, cut across to "tourist road' behind robinson and then jamberoo road to the pub ... hmm pubs seem to be a reoccuring theme with me ... i believe my drinking has a riding problem :-)
