Man oh man...i just got the press release with the new Ducati GT100 Tourer...what the hell was the design team thinking. More to the point what were they smoking? It would have to be the ugliest looking bike I have seen for a long time. The MTS is no oil painting but its downright gorgeous by comparison to the Swamp Beast. To me it looks like the b#stard child from the mating of a harley road king and motoguzzi california along witha liberal spinkling of crap they found in a parts bin out the back of the vibrator factory....pig ugly...but then again one mans monstrosity is aniother mans jewel...does anyone esle share my view of this...THING?

Must agree, not wanting to crap on a bike I actually own but WTF were they on ...
IMHO there is that much chrome its silly,(there are some retro ideas best kept that way and chrome plating esp crap italian plating is one of them)!
Saw an 09 GT at frasers Sydney and the B+W colour scheme is quite nice but its been stuffed around by the chrome mud guard and racks, that screen ... etc as fitted to the "touring" model ... but hang on ... no panniers (ducati actually sold a few of those), no adjustable suspension .. so ... yep agree its a parts bin special!

Yep someone in the design dept must have been on very strong medication, if not he forgot to take his medication. I think the plastic wind wall and all the chrome will attract alot of Harley riders that would like to hang around a better class of people.Wont they be disappointed when they meet us.

and you know ...its a strange thinge thing...they do their market resaerch pretty well so they must think they can sell them...its got me buggered who would but them...the stock GT 1000 is a nice bike ,...why dress it up in clown suit from the Hardley Ridables party trick box

..the word is ..'incremental sales'......or we poached the odd sale or two from another manufacturer that they would normally not have had.biggest risk with this is alienating their existing target market.......now wait for the cruiser!! now we know why OCC in usa is now a ducati dealer..hj

you can just picture OCC's stretched 1198 with springer front end . 300 mm wide rear tyre...22 inch cheese cutter front..and suicide shifter....reckon you'd need a can of seat cleaner and new riding pants after the first corner
