do they ever have any ? its over three months since the first one,and from the outside looking in ,not a lot appears to happen.you need to keep an eye on the website for weeks to see if anything is happenning.very frustrating.other clubs plan activities quarterly. This is not meant to be a pregnant dog session, but quite a number of less vocal members keep asking me about this, and other issues and i have no idea what to tell them.

Hi John the best form of communication we have at our disposal for a smallish club that is spread over a large area(in my option) is this forum. As you have just done. And yes we are over due for a General Meeting. Below is a extract of our constitution.. 7. MEETING. a) A general meeting shall be held every two months and an AGM shall take the place within the period of 5 months beginning at the end of the club’s most recently ended financial year. b) At least fourteen (14) days notice of an AGM or an extraordinary general meeting shall be given to all members. c) At least seven (7) days notice of an ordinary general meeting shall be given to all members. d) An extraordinary meeting may be part of a general meeting. I will get on to Alex and post the date of our next GM onto the web site. Please PM me or another committee members about the other issues that have been bought to your attenuation. cheers Nev

Nev,check your email,i have forwarded you and alex the latest activities schedule from docnsw, some it is out to december.i will be printing it in their mag late this week.it may assist urio in organising some rides /activities that link in with theres .Its no drama doing this as we often have linked with CDDC [ACT club] and Hunter Dogs [newcastle].on a personal level....i hate computers.

Hi John, while it is good to get together with other clubs,it is also good to do our own ride, most of the ride that other clubs are organising are trip that we have to add an extra hour Plus on top of the standard trip. And as a new club there are still thing that need to be sorted out before we can be on our way. most of the committe members (at least I am) are new to the position which we hold, if you recall there was not many name volunteering for the position availables, we still have no Secretary/tresurer. Alex is holding down three committe member positions on top of travelling oversea for business. I do agree with you that we are overdue for a meeting. So please all members of SCDOC be patiance i am sure everybody is trying they best.
John do you have email of ride coordinators from other clubs NSW and ACT that I may email them. I prefer email than phoning

big al,is the newly elected ride co ordinator for nsw,i believe he has also joined this club, his email is avankraanen@optusnet.com.au as for cddc i only have the presidents mobile ,gaye 0410057748 ,, the reason for me not putting my own hand up is that i am already on the committee of docnsw.and yes it does take travelling time to meet up with other clubs,it usually takes me an hour and a half to link up with those guys,i get to spend an extra 2-3 hours for the day riding depending where we finish .not everyone is happy to ride for 15mins and stop for a latte.then go home.i as much as anyone am keen for the club to succeed,as the travelling time alone for myself ,to committee meeting alone is three hours return.

John, thank for Big Al email address i will get in touch with him i was thinking to join up with the NSWDOC on the 18/5/08 for their 5 Ferries Ride if anybody is interested. Sound to me like you spend a lot of time with the NSWDOC. do you know of a good way to get to Berowra, and do you know where the Mobil garage in Berowra is and what time would we have to leave w'gong to be there by 8:30am.
i am not a latte drinker nor keen on a 15 min. ride. but i don't like going through Sydney stop/start traffic either or straight highway for that matter.

Urio, not many options to Berowra to avoid traffic.Quickest is simply go Picton rd,Hume Hway,M7/M5 onto Pennant Hills rd at end of M5,follow Pennant Hills rd for say 4ks,take off ramp to join Newcastle freeway, stay on this for couple of ks then take offramp to Berowra, turn right at intersection, and servo is about 700metres ahead on left.Usually give myself an hour and a half from Jamberoo.maybe a touch more.Recent NDR travels,{nobody from this club went}instead of meeting them at windsor rd[at 8am],Rouse Hill to go bells,Jenolan Caves,Oberon,Oconnell{25KS from Bathurst].Met cddc at GOULBURN {10.30am][could have got their via Fitzroy Falls,Bundanoon,Marulan,Bungonia State Forest ,comes out back of Goulburn, not far from Wakefield Park[came back this way with Scott]We then went Taralga,,Black Springs,Oberon,Oconnell to meet docnsw for lunch.Yes road is now fully sealed though not fully line marked.Point is you could organise your ride/s to link/unlink to whatever suits, the ride lists i sent were for inspiration only.there is only so many cappacino runs you can do eg.mac pass, robo, kanga, berry and back via jamba.thats why i started with nsw,to ride some different roads, but like anything, you start to make some good friends along the way ...john
