Hi All I had to replace my rear tyer (it was a Pirelli diablo rosso) a Stanly Knife blade makes a big hole (dont ask), the shop put a michelin Pilot Road² on as a replacement . I picked up the bike this morning (GT1000) and the frount end feels very loose. I have checked the tyer presure and the rear is 34.6 PSI, the front is 24.5 is this correct. P.S only the rear was replaced i still have the Pirelli on the front. and it felt fine before the flat tyer. cheers Nev

I have the rossos f & r on my ST3..
I run them @ 34 / 37 around town, maybe 35 / 38 for trips. But I've run all previous tyre arrangements about the same (had Metzler & Michelins prior)..
24.5 seems extremely low to me -

Nev, 24 is way too low. 34psi front and 36psi rear solo riding is a good starting point ,that what i run on my SC. Urio

Nev, good practice is to check tyre pressure before every ride. You learn that they dont handle very well, quickly, when you go for a ride with poorly inflated tyres. i tend to run mine at 36/38. do they run tubes because arent your wheels spoked ? hj

Nev, my owner manual state 2.2 bar front & back which is 32psi. On the tech night last year i as told 33 front 36 rear. Glad you work it out. in my opinion because we do not travel at great speed there is no need to change the front tyre every time you change the back unless the front changing fron unever wear etc. and there is no need to have the same brand front and rear, all modern reputabletyres in good condition and at the correct pressure is more inportant Urio
