Has everybody seen the new models at www.ducati.com.
Streetfighter 155bhp 1098 engine, awesome looking bike. no wonder they are not making the monster S4 anymore.
Monster 696 unchanged its an 09 model anyway (and a great bike)
Monster 1100 and 1100S both look very good and if the 696 is anything to go by these are going to be great. I hope the price stays the same as the out going S2 1000 and the S model with its Ohlins suspension should be $3000 extra.
1098 gets a capacity hike to 1198 producing 170bhp and its been on a diet too 171kilos get this it comes in pearl white just like the 848.
1098S same capacity hike 1198 same power 170bhp must have been to the same health spa as its also a bit slimmer at 169 kilos;
Just for good measure the traction control system only available on the 'R' version last year is now standard on the 'S'
to make it stand out from the std bike it also receives 7 spoke forged race replica wheels.
1098R is unchanged but for the traction control system which on 2008 bikes was only active after fitment of the race ecu and pipes, for 2009 it will be active even in road spec.
1098R Bayliss replica, well if all 500 of these don't come to Australia, there will be a shit fight to get hold of one here.
No price as yet but as the saying goes "if you have to ask the price, you probably can't afford one"!!!!!!!!!!!
This has to be the place to put the spare cash under the bed !!!!
Sport classic; No sport 1000 for 09 just 1000s which is now available in red and black both have a whit stripe.
The Gt 1000 gets a cousin joining it the GT1000 touring, screen rack and chrome guards are the most noticeable additions.
Hypermotard no changes but introduction of Pearl white on std bike
Multistrada no changes except the introduction of - yes you guessed it- pearl white on the 'S' model. It's a pity Ducati have for the moment at least forgotten the Multi as it's about time we saw some pretty new clothes for what is one of the best all round motorcycles out there. Mind you watch this space can't be far off and Ducati have stated they had 10 new bikes in development I think we have seen 7 so far.
No idea of pricing, but expect a rise on the 1198 family 1098 R should be the same price unless our Dollar falls even further. 1098R Bayliss well its gonna be expensive and very limited. over $60K is my guess, but how much over $65K?
Street fighter should be just above the price of the out going S4 which is currently $21495 wit the S model a bit more than the S4RS which is currently $25995.
Now to delivery, Monster 1100 is due in late December early January, However the other new models I have no Idea; I did hear that the 1198 is in production now apparently, so delivery should be Jan Feb time
Bayliss replica no Idea when so first come first served I suppose.
I thought i would just outline some of the models available next year - but before anyone runs Frasers and says they want this or that because Dean said so on our web site, I would like to Male it clear that all the above is my opinion from what I have seen on the web sites and chat rooms around the world, It in now way reflects the opinions of Fraser motorcycles or NF importers.
