yeah, excuses, excuses.... we can do it the opposite way, and the Multi will show the way up..hehe... the pub at Braidwood is pretty good.. need to leave a day earlier though, i was knackered when i got home ozducati, you should trade that multi for a sport classic i could go got another 1000km or so. Honest john, lunch at the pub at Braidwood sound good for the next time. doing the trip in opposite direction i have done it numerous time but never got sick of doing it. x27 I am glad somebody had sense to take photos, I would have taken my camera but unfortunately it pack it in last week need to buy another one. black widow, what do you mean "We were all lucky to get away with what we did." where you referring to the cold temperature in Goulburn or riding through Ivan territory without an incident

Ok ok all of you, on a serious note I think we sould change our method of travelling and be MORE safety orintated. We are a club and we should promote safe riding. As black widow said "We were all lucky to get away with what we did.". Our outing should be for all to enjoy and that include novices and the non sportbike paticipants. Urio

i think that last comment is going off on a TANGENT.and am quit OFFENDED .i am not out to promote anything.i ride for my own enjoyment, and not anyone elses. and dont believe that is the responsibility of any club .i did not join, to baby sit /train anyone , or take responsibility for individual actions .for the most part we are all adults and should be respected as such .the only important issue when riding ,is to ride within your OWN ability, and not be INFLUENCED by others.and when travelling within a group be aware of those arround you.

as for novices [WE WERE ALL AT THAT LEVEL ONCE]and maybe still are,the only thing we can offer as a club is ROAD miles.[anything more may bring liability]experience/confidence will thus follow.Training is best left to the pros,STAY UPRIGHT/AUS SUPERBIKE SCHOOL etc. Style of motorcycle[naked vs fully faired etc ] will always dictate comfort level at different road speeds, wind pressure dictating relief/aggravation on riders wrists and body.If you are unhappy with my riding, tell me and i will resign from club, that easy

Since Im the newest member I wont say what 'should be', As this is a realitively new club I would like to point out my experience with my previous Touring Club; As it was a Touring Club pretty much all kinds of bikes were represented from slow and heavy to light and fast. The fast riders would lead out, go fast for a bit then pull over where nessacary, Like a turnoff or a change of direction if it was going back up a pass or a good twisty bit. Safe riding was defined as "in your limits". I thought the ride was great....still do. I would say it was totaly par for the course. Good ride, good peaple, lets not go months before another one, I joined to ride, so did you guys right, so dont be worried about others pace, enjoy your bike at your pace, never feel like your holding up other rider cus you arnt....I welcome a minute or two standing beside my bike getting blood back to my hands and arse ;D ;D ;D Good write up john .

Hi All As the Last (slowest) rider on the club ride. i did what I was comfortable with and my wallet and points on my license can afford. (If i loss my license i lose my job) I still really enjoyed the ride and the company.I went to a pace i was happy with and with the exception of some miscommunication at Robinson, did not slow down the main group to much i believe. (I was going to turn around at Goulburn but decided to continue on with the ride and am i glad i did). With the exception of a cut off going up Macquaire pass and someone cutting between me and the arnkove railing at speed(still don't know how he squeezed through on that bend) going down Browns mountain, the group ride was great from my prospective. cheers Nev

had very few problems since new.thought it wise to get it attended to before i really got stuck out in the boondocks following !!!! you blokes. x27 wheres the pics.and newest member rights are the same as oldest..no hierachy here. bw yeh roll ons following you doing 45 or 60,dont really put it in max power or torque band.and i think i still had 4 cogs to go. nev .due to your current situation, you should be self appointed tail ender, that way when you go past,we know that everyone else is ahead. p.s radios like i use with docnsw.do make it easier to communicate on the go.robinson[robertson] was a shammozle. its all a learning curve.

It 's good to get feed back and opinions ,goods and bads from all riders that participate on the ride because that's the way that I can improve the outing so we all can enjoy our club day. This club is new and I am new at my job as ride co-ordinator.
Due to work commitment I will be not be attending any rides this month of July so if anybody as any idea for a July ride and is willing to organize one please email Nev and post it on the what's on. the July trip was going to be a ride to Audley, Royal National Park riding through Mt keira, Appin and Seascape bridge. Or this can be the August ride.
Please keep sending the ideas and comments as this is the way we can make this club great

Well guys...i finally got around to reading the posts...good to read the debate about speed and personal responsibility, ability...and good to see an excellent dummy spit from Honest John ...I had to get the tape measure out and I think it may be a new club record........Academy Award in the mail...only joking mate:-)))))..
Anyhow...everyone has raised good points and they are all worth raising and constantly reminding outrselves of. It would be bad news if people felt pressured into staying with the faster riders or even the general pack pack and caused themsleves a few unexpected "moments" or speeding fines.
These sorts of issues are difficuklt to get consensus on. If you ask 100 riders you'll get a 100 different answers...thats the way it is..
As Ive aged discracefully I find the track is really the only place where I have seriously stern words with the throttle...apart from the occassional moment of madness or "red mist" moment when i find a nice twisty peice of open cornered, traffic free road...like the Oxley Highway last weekend....
Although speaking about the Oxley there was an accident which happned while we were at there where a guy on a red 998 came into one of the blind 35klm corners apparently way too hot.....he over cooked it, ran wide and slammed head first into the corner of a caravan going in the opposite direction ....he lay motionless on the road drifting in and out of conciousness while we waited for the Westpac helicopter to come and take him away....bike was a right off...caravan was a little crumpled but drivable...rider it appears got away with concussion, broken shoulder and leg... Im sure he was defintely having fun until he pushed it too hard for either his ability or the conditions... A better rider may have been able to correct his line and gotten away with it but then again he will never know...
Anyhow..enough happiness and joy from me.....I think the article entitled The Pace pretty much says it all...
