Is Bathurst and back, a lap around the track and a museum tour only a day ride on a 1098, ;D Nev it would be a half day ride for a 1098 but they have to stop for petrol every 150Km. taht will give us (on bikes and not rockets) a chance. Urio

achieved 235ks. goulburn to[via black springs] bathurst !!!,and only fumes left in tank !!, and a prayer that i didnt have to geet off and push it[fully loaded with ventura bags] ,vowed next time id stop in oberon for fuel[about 180k].hj

I uses to get just above 280 before Termis now I get about 250 what amasses me is that my wife Harley is bigger capacity 1200 and has a carburetor not fuel injectors. I fill the Harley for $8.00 and I fill the Duke with $12.00 after traveling the same distance. I think I have to loose weight. John it is a terrible feeling worrying about running out of fuel. I had that feeling when I hire Harley Ultra Classic in the USA in the dessert with temperature above 40 deg. lucky I stopped and ask a Rancher and he directed me 15 km out of my way to fill up otherwise I would have to push all 350+kilo for the last 30km

know the feeling!!!,the next day travelling with ozducati!!! and his UNtrusty gps another mate on his 749 ran out,knowing that its a similar bike i ,didnt stop and rolled into a servo again on fumes, and grabbed a fuel tin to go back out of town and rescue him.hj

That ,s one of the advantage of riding in a group. There are some but not a lot of cars that stops to offer a hand. Urio
